APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When upgrading from any UCD version that does not have an
appdata directory (all versions pre-6.1.1.5) to 6.2.0.2, the
installer will incorrectly attempt to create the directory and
fail to upgrade correctly. As a result, when starting up the
server, versions will appear to not contain any artifacts. If
using a Derby database, the upgrade will fail completely.

Local fix

  • In the server's installed.properties file, change the appdata
directory to ".." and rerun the upgrade.
